Laurie Hawes has more than 29 years of meeting and event experience. From hotel sales and convention services to meetings management for associations, corporations and private industry, Laurie’s range of experience has prepared her to deliver successful events. She has organized meetings in almost every state, providing her clients with extensive experience and contacts throughout the U.S. Laurie successfully handles budgets, oversees speaker management and maintains a detailed compilation of statistical data. She prides herself on formulating post-conference reports and providing detailed analysis to make the next event even more successful.
With both parents in association management, meeting planning has always been “in her blood.” Laurie is a member of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and has been involved in their local and national membership committees. She has maintained her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation since 1996 and is a lifetime member of the Purdue University Alumni Association.
Laurie lives on a farm with her husband. “My career has afforded me the chance to travel and meet dynamic individuals, but when the work is over, I enjoy coming home to the country.“
